Carnival History and Meaning

Carnival is basically a celebration of life, it is a big party. This holiday is found in many countries worldwide. Hundreds of years ago, the followers of the Catholic religion in Italy started the tradition of a wild costume festival. This festive event occurs immediately before Lent, which is usually in February. During this time of celebration, circuses, parades, street parties, and other types of celebrations are often combined. While celebrating, people get very festive and dress up usually in masquerade attire.

  1. In the post where it asks for how/where Carnaval is celebrated in your country or city, it explains how, but not where. Other than that, all the other posts gives information on what is needed and what is being asked for. Each picture goes with each post that its talking about, whether it be about Mardi Gras or just about Caraval itself. With that said, overall, every post shares something different, which is exactly what this project is about.
